Natural Fibroid Remedy

There are a number of foods to avoid with fibroids, many of which you are probably already familiar with. With so much nutritional advice around these days, we can usually tell by looking at a food or at least by reading the label if it is something we should be avoiding.

First of all, lets look at alcohol. It is of no nutritional value at all for the body and is particularly bad if you have fibroids. Alcohol is difficult for the liver to metabolize and therefore loads extra strain on this organ. The liver is responsible for metabolizing our hormones and failure to do this properly can lead to a build up of estrogen which is a contributory factor in fibroid formation.

You should also avoid adding salt to your foods either during the cooking process or afterwards. Salt can encourage fluid retention and bloating, both of which can adversely affect your condition.

Sugar is another of the foods to avoid with fibroids. Sugar has no nutritional value and is sometimes referred to as the “sweet poison”. Sugar can cause insulin levels to spike and then rapidly drop, eventually contributing to insulin resistance. Sugar also depletes your supplies of vitamin B which can cause an increase in muscle tension and can contribute to feelings of depression.
You should also avoid saturated and hydrogenated fats. Fat cells can be a secondary production and storage site of estrogen and therefore increase the overall levels within the body. Conventional dairy products are also believed to be foods to avoid with fibroids. Instead you should try milks and dairy produce made with nuts or soya.

Although not exhaustive, this will at least provide you with a starting point. If you are looking to reduce your fibroids, then you might like to consider a holistic system which incorporates extensive dietary modification, detoxification, lifestyle changes and cleansing protocols.

  1. QUESTION:
    Natural Remedy for fibroid tumor?
What type of natural remedy can be used for dealing with a large fibroid tumor? My mother has almost died because she literally bleed to death (menstrauting heavily for months). She became severly anemic with a blood volume level of a mere 3. Normal is 12. She recieved 5 blood transfusions over a 2 month span. They believe it’s all been a result of the fibroid tumor in her uterus. She is trying desperatly to get their insurance company to cover it but they are jerking my parents around calling all of this pre existing and saying they wont cover a dime for any of it including the bills already. My parents are already 100,000 in medical bills. They will not cover the surgery until Nov. of this year. What can be taken naturally in the mean time to help her not have the severe pain and bleeding. Her stomach is so bloated she looks like she’s 5 months pregnant. She always has pain and she always bleeds so bad. I’m worried so badly about my mom. Someone help please!!!

    • ANSWER:
Try Moreishi’s Golden Herb tonic. It boosts the body’s capacity to produce T-cell lymphocytes which is responsible for fighting off and dissolving tumors. It costs around 1,500 pesos here in the Philippines. A lot of patients swear by it.

  2. QUESTION:
any natural remedy for seedling fibroid?

    • ANSWER:
      Dietary Factors

Foods for Maintaining Healthy Iron Stores. The following are some suggestions for increasing iron levels in the diet:

      * The best foods for increasing or maintaining healthy iron levels contain absorbable iron, called heme iron . Such foods include (in order of iron-richness) clams, oysters, organ meats, beef, pork, poultry, and fish.

      * About 60% of iron in meat is poorly absorbed; this is a form called non-heme iron . Eggs, dairy products, and vegetables that contain iron only have the non-heme form. Such plants include dried beans and peas, iron-fortified cereals, bread, and pasta products, dark green leafy vegetables (chard, spinach, mustard greens, kale), dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. (One study reported that even though non-heme iron is normally less easily absorbed, people who were iron deficient absorbed 10 times the amount of non-heme iron as people with normal iron levels.)

      * Increasing intake of vitamin-C rich foods can enhance absorption of non-heme iron during a single meal, although regular intake of vitamin C does not appear to have any significant effect on iron stores. In any case, vitamin-C rich foods are healthful and include broccoli, cabbage, citrus fruits, melon, tomatoes, and strawberries. One orange or six ounces of orange juice can double the amount of iron your body absorbs from plant foods.

      * Foods containing riboflavin (vitamin B2) may help enhance the response of hemoglobin to iron. Sources include liver, dried fortified cereals, and yogurt.

      * Cooking in cast iron pans and skillets is known to increase iron content of food. According to one study, however, boiling, steaming, or stir-frying many vegetables in utensils composed of any material significantly increases the release of iron stored in plants so it is available to the body.

      * Certain nutrients, such as tannin (found in tea) or phytic acid (found in foods such as seeds and bran) impedes the body’s absorption of dietary iron. (It is commonly believed that fiber impeded iron absorption, but researchers report that it most likely has no effect.)

Sources of Vitamins B12 and Folate. Vitamins B12 and folate are important for prevention of anemia related to nutritional deficiencies. Although this anemia is not necessarily related to fibroids, these vitamins are very important for good health in general and for reproductive health in women.

      * The only natural dietary sources of B12 are animal products, such as meats, dairy products, eggs, and fish (clams and oily fish are very high in B12); like other B vitamins, however, B12 is added to commercial dried cereals. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 2.4 mcg a day. Deficiencies are rare in young people, although the elderly may have trouble absorbing natural vitamin B12 and require synthetic forms from supplements and fortified foods.

      * Folate is best found in avocado, bananas, orange juice, cold cereal, asparagus, fruits, green, leafy vegetables, dried beans and peas, and yeast. The synthetic form, folic acid, is now added to commercial grain products. Vitamins are usually made from folic acid, which is about twice as potent as folate. Many experts now recommend that adults have 400 mcg of folic acid daily, which is considerably higher than standard recommendations of 400 mcg of folate, which does not take into consideration the possible benefits of folate on the heart. Low levels of folate during pregnancy are common without supplements; deficiencies at that time increase the risk of neural tube defects in newborns. Women who are planning to get pregnant should take 400 mcg of folic acid before conception as well as when they are pregnant or breast feeding.

      * Iron Supplements. Iron supplements are the most effect agents for restoring iron levels but they should be used only when dietary measures have failed. Women should always discuss such supplements with their physician. [ see Well-Connected Report #57, Anemia]

      Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)

Although they have not been studied for fibroids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) taken on a regular schedule reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and pain from unknown causes. These drugs reduce inflammation, in part by their action against prostaglandins, the chemicals that stimulate uterine contractions and cause pain. Aspirin is the most common NSAID, but there are dozens of others, including ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Rufen) and naproxen (Aleve, Anaprox, Naprosyn); both are recommended for menstrual pain. It should be noted, however, that long-term use of any NSAID, can increase the risk for gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcers. In fact, one 2001 study of women with iron deficiency anemia reported that overuse of NSAIDs for menstrual disorders contributed to the anemia.
      Alternative Treatments

Acupuncture. Some women report relief from pelvic pain and heaviness after acupuncture.

Yoga. Yoga exercises help some women relieve sensations of heaviness and pressure.

Herbal Remedies. Herbal remedies used for fibroids include ginseng or herbal combinations of rhubarb, cinnamon, and sargassum seaweed. It is possible that some herbal medicines may be helpful, but patients should always be wary of unproven claims for quick cures. [See warning box.]

  3. QUESTION:
What are some natural remedies for shrinking fibroid tumors?

    • ANSWER:
If this were my mother I would take her to the nearest ER in the nearest large hospital, I would choose an Teaching hospital if there’s one near you. They have the best and the most of all the doctors available to you.
Many of these hospitals have benefactors that help the needy and if you ask, they will tell you. We did and they had a large benefactor program they did not advertise.
It took about an hour to O.K. me, and pay all my medical bills for me.
Whether they do or not, they will help. It sounds like your mom needs help right now, not when she can afford it.

    • ANSWER:
You should give yourself a pat on the back for avoiding surgery!!!

The problem with fibroid tumors can simply be resolved by restoring proper progesterone levels, which restores normal growth and shedding of the endometrium.

Recommendations for healing fibroids by Dr. John Lee:

      WHAT TO DO:
      *Use natural progesterone cream.
*Eat a plant-based, fiber rich diet (at least 20-30g fiber per day)
      *Take a liver-supporting and detoxifying herbal formula that includes the following herbs: Bupleurum, milk thistle (silybum marianum), barberry or goldenseal, burdock root, yellow dock, dandelion root. {Green Qi would be great for this}
*Take a uterus-healing herbal formula that includes some or all of the following herbs: myrrh, red raspberry, cayenne, Bupleurum, yarrow, vitex and lady’s mantle (Alchemilla mollis)
*Use a castor oil pack 2-4 times a week (many books on herbal healing have instructions on how to make and use a castor oil pack.)

      WHAT TO AVOID:
      *Unopposed estrogen
      *Dairy products
*Feed-lot meats (eat only range-fed, organic meats free of drugs and pestiside residue)
      *Coffee (heavily sprayed with DDT)

  9. QUESTION:
    Breastfeeding, needing answers!?
I am breastfeeding…loving the experience. However, I have a fibroid which has apparently grown while I was pregnant. It causes contraction like pain I’m assuming when my cycle would be on. It also is contributing to digestive issues, which I’ve always had problems with..just worse now. My question is, what can I do/take to become more “regular” *without* giving the baby loose stools?! Also, is there any women who have dealt with fibroids, what treatment did you choose, are there natural remedies? Moms, pleas help me, I want to continue feeding my little one!

    • ANSWER:
have you tried prunes? I have been eating prunes and it has not affected my daughter at all. Check with your doctor, they should be able to help you find something to make you more comfortable and allow you to continue nursing your child. good luck!

  10. QUESTION:
    Natural Remedy for fibroid tumor?

She always has pain and she always bleeds so bad. I’m worried so badly about my mom. Someone help please!!!

    • ANSWER:
I also had a fibroid tumor that was causing me to bleed heavily, but I was lucky enough to have insurance that covered all the procedures I had. The bad part is my insurance didn’t cover prescriptions but I got a discount. And it wasn’t much of a discount.

The doctors had me on birth control for a year before I finally convinced them to do something else for me. (The birth control didn’t help me at all.) Before he started doing procedures on me, he had to get my blood count up so he put me on Lupron. It’s like a temporary menapause and it’s an injection you get at the doctor’s office once a month or every three months, depending on the dosage. Because my insurance doesn’t fully cover prescriptions, I was still going to have to pay around 0 a month to get this injection. I got lucky, and the doctor’s office I was going to worked directly with the drug company and was able to get some samples and they gave them to me for free. Maybe you should try talking to your mother’s doctor about it.

To make a long story short, eventually I found a new doctor and got the surgery I needed without having a hysterectomy. If your mother does end up having to wait until November for surgery, I highly recommend having a myomectomy done. It gets rid of the fibroid and leaves everything else intact.

Natural Cures For Fibroids

It is easy to make your own herbal oils from scratch. Infused herbal oils require a small amount of plant material while essential oils require a lot more of plant material. Infused herbal oils are safe to use externally, they are good for the skin, unlike the essential oils which can cause rashes and other skin reactions. Infused oils are used full strength – there’s no need to further dilute this type of oil.

To make an infused herbal oil you’ll need fresh plants, a knife,a clean dry glass jar with a tight lid, and olive oil. Chop the leaves or flowers of your chosen plant. Some of the most popular plants used to make infused oils are Lavender, Spruce needles, St. John’s wort, Dandelion flowers, Yarrow blossoms and others. You can also experiment with mixes.
Pack fresh and clean herbs loosely into the jar. Cover the herbs with olive oil, until the jar is completely full (sesame and almond oils are also good). Put the lid on as tightly as you can. Put the jar in a warm place such as a warm sunny window. Leave the jar on there for 30 days. Remember to shake the mixture gently every day.

After this time, get another large, clean glass jar with a tight lid, a large funnel, and some cheesecloth. Strain the mixture – slowly pour the oil into the clean jar through the funnel. The cheesecloth packed in the funnel will strain the mixture, letting the oil filter into the jar. Then transfer the oil into a dark bottle, and store in a cool and dark place.

The multi-purpose herbal oil you make will be semi-clear or lightly cloudy, and also very fragrant. It can be used as massage oil. You can rub it on sore muscles, hands, dry skin or anywhere else you want, avoiding sensitive areas, like eyes.

    Natural cures for fibroids.?
Has anyone tried a natural cure for fibroids without having surgery? And if so what was it,and did it work.

    • ANSWER:
When I owned an herb store, several customers got good results from using products with Red Root in them. Works pretty quickly to shrink the uterine fibroids and breast cysts, alleviate symptoms. It doesn’t cure them, I don’t think, and the treatment must be repeated when they flare up.

Here is one product: http://www.herbsetc.com/Shopping/l/lymphatonic.htm or you can just take the red root extract by itself.

Fibroids are made worse by oral contraceptives and high estrogen levels. Some other herbs known to help shrink them are: Violet leaves, Black Cohosh and Thuja. For pain, use Cramp Bark. For bleeding, use Shepherd’s Purse. Many women find the fibroids go away after menopause.

      Vitex
Vitex is one of the most widely known women’s herbs.
researchers believe that vitex works by regulating the pituitary gland, the one that tells other glands how much of each hormone to make.
The hormone in question here is estrogen,on which vitex has a regulating effect.
Vitex needs to be taken for 6 months for it’s full benefits to be felt.
An alternative practitioner typical dosage prescription would be any where from 2,000 to 5,000 milligrammes in capsules per day,or one to two dropperfuls of tincture 2 times per day.
Caution-to not take during pregnancy, and Vitex can also lesson the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.

      Dietary supplements
To help shrink fibroids, try taking the following supplements once daily for 3 to 4 months.
      Vitamin C: 1,000 to 2,000 milligrams
Selenium: 400 micrograms and Zinc: 30 milligrams.

      Uterine fibroid tea.
This tea combines hormone balancing herbs with those that ease cramps.
      2 teaspoons vitex
      1 teaspoon black cohosh root
      half teaspoon dandelion root
      half teaspoon prickly ash bark
      quarter teaspoon cramp bark
      quarter teaspoon cinnamon bark
      4 cups of water.
Combine the herbs and water and bring to the boil.
lower heat and allow tea to simmer for a few minutes.
Remove from the heat and steep for 20 minutes.
Strain and drink at least 2 cups a day for 3 to 4 months.

When you have a bath, you can add several drops of rosemary, lavender,or juniper essential oils to stimulate pelvic circulation.

You could also try a castor oil pack
The skin absorbs warm castor oil’s active constituents, lectins, which stimualate the immune response to help shrink fibroids.
Five drops of essential can also be added to a castor oil pack to encourage relaxation.
to make a pack, soak a clean cloth in castor oil, then place it on the abdomen or on any painful areas.
Cover the cloth with plastic wrap, then another clean cloth.
Then apply a heat sorce-A hot water bottle,a heating pad,a cloth bag of lentils, corn,or rice that has been microwaved for a few minutes.
Leave on for about an hour.

      red raspberry
This herb is useful if your fibroids cause excessive bleeding during menstruation.
herbalists believe that it gradually improves the tone of the uterus.
A typical dosage would be 1 to 2 cup of tea 2 or 3 times a day.

  7. QUESTION:
Abnormal menstrual cycle? I NEED HELP!!!?
OK, this may end up being a little long, but I need to know. And before I start, let me just say, I have NOT been to the doctor yet, mainly because I’m too scared to find out what is wrong.

I have been having really weird, abnormal periods for a little over a year now. I track how long my period is every month on a small calendar that I carry in my purse. The troubles really began in July-August of ’08, I had my period starting July 18th, but it didn’t END until August 28th!!! I went for 6 weeks! And then September came and I started on the 12th, ended on the 19th. One week. October I started on the 26th and ended on November 1st. Then for the rest of November and all of December, I didn’t have a period, at all! Then in January of this year, I started on the 12th, ended on the 22nd. This period was VERY light and instead of being a bright red color, it was brown and pink with very little red mixed in. And then in February, I started on the 9th, it’s now the 6th of March and I’m still going strong. I’m not bleeding heavily, but it IS steady. A couple of times in the last week it seemed like I was going to stop bleeding, but then an hour or two later, I would start bleeding more steadily again.

I’m not on birth control, in fact it’s the opposite, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since October, but haven’t been successful yet. My question is, does this sound like just a regular cyst on one or both of my ovaries, or is something more serious? I’ve researched all over the internet about abnormal periods and haven’t been able to find anything. I don’t have the symptoms for uterine fibroids, I don’t really have any symptoms at all, other than regular “period symptoms” like mild cramping, lower backache and headaches and bloating. Which if I take Pamprin or Midol, those go away for a few hours, so they’re not bothersome at all, other than they’re a constant to go along with all of my bleeding.

If this is just cysts, what will the doctor do? What can I expect as far as an exam and treatment? Should I be as worried and scared of this as I am? Is there a “natural cure” for this, something I can do on my own? Please don’t be rude, I’m seriously worried sick about this and would really like to know what’s going on, but at the same time I don’t. Does that make sense? If it’s nothing serious, then I want to know, but if it’s major, I’m scared to find out!

    • ANSWER:
ok, your symptoms are somewhat similat to mine! I had a transvaginal ultrsound and they found fibroids in my uterus! You really need to see a doctor because if you are having trouble with your period as i am & you have not been successful with pregnancy you may have fibroids, cysts, endometriosis etc… It may be nothing which i hope! but the only way to really know is by having the correct tests done! good luck. also, if it’s cysts or fibroids or something else, the doctor can do procedures that will not affect your fertility!

Ovarian cysts are not only formed in mature women but also might be formed in women during their teens that they might also experience ovarian cysts pain in teens. Ovarian cysts are also becoming very common among adolescents and teens. Even though the presence of ovarian cysts might sound very ominous, most of the types of ovarian cysts and pain associated with it in pre-teens and teens get resolved all by themselves without requiring any special kind of treatment. The decision of treating teens with ovarian cyst pain might greatly depend on the kind of ovarian cysts and the side it has formed apart from the general health of the sufferer.

Ovarian cysts found in teens might most often be the functional cyst types which would have formed due to hormonal alterations which normally take place during or around the ovulation period. The ovarian cysts of these types might become big and shrink according to the fluctuations in the hormonal levels and can even get resolved completely on their own over many menstrual cycles.

The factors that increased the risk of ovarian cyst pain in teens include the cyst size and the side on which the cysts are formed. The smaller the size of the ovarian cyst the less the complications and symptoms but when there are bigger size ovarian cysts, they might cause discomfort and pain in the abdominal region. Bleeding during the periods can become heavy or light than the normal bleeding and even sometimes without any bleeding at all. This might be due to the presence of ovarian cysts in teens.
Teenagers should seek the help of doctors when they experience ovarian cyst pain in their abdomen region along with fever, nausea, vomiting, pain in the pelvic area, anemia, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, emergence of facial hair similar to males, swelling in the abdomen, noticeable pelvic or abdominal mass, excess urination or thirst, weight loss, low or high blood pressure.

Some of the tests and examinations that are done to diagnose ovarian cysts in teens includes the endo-vaginal ultrasound test which is a special kind of imaging the pelvic organs and the ovarian cysts present inside, CT or MRI scan for getting the details of ovarian cysts, laparoscopic surgery for both identifying the ovarian cyst and for removing them or also for taking biopsy, serum CA-125Assay is a type of blood test done for checking the substance known as CA-125 associated with cancer of the ovaries, hormone level tests and pregnancy tests for ruling out ectopic pregnancy as they too can exhibit similar symptoms associated with ovarian cysts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
What won’t my gynecologist listen to me?
I got off Yasmin in July 2009 after my mom got breast cancer. Since September of 2010, I have dealt with extremely powerful and completely debilitating rectal pain with my periods. It feels like so much pressure and pain that I can hardly move or do anything at all. I am literally bedridden or couch-ridden until it passes. My flow is the heaviest its ever been. I can fill a menstrual cup in two hours. I soak through multiple pads a day. Forget about tampons. Bowel movements hurt, and I end up crying.

I have had a colonoscopy, multiple rectal exams and pelvic exams, two laparoscopies, an MRI, and an anal botox injection. No tumors, cysts, fibroids, or endometriosis anywhere (to my knowledge). Neither my gyno nor my rectal surgeon can find anything. Both doctors keep passing me back and forth between each other, claiming that “this isn’t a (place their field here) issue, it’s an (place the other’s field here) issue.”

The gyno put me back on birth control, much to my dismay. Yaz to be specific. I am very much against birth control for me. My grandmother died from breast cancer, and my mother just recovered from it. Most birth control packaging even says for you to not take it if you have ever had, or if there is a family history for, breast cancer. It is connected with breast cancer and can definitely raise your risk for it if you’ve ever been on it. Usually not more than 1 or 2 percent for most people, but since I have a family history, it’s more like 6 to 10 percent. I have read the research on Ebscohost and Academic Search Premier, so I know the risk. But according to my doctor, all that research is “bogus” and oral contraceptives hold no risk for me whatsoever.

The bcp has lightened my flow considerably and helped my pain a little. But it’s not completely gone, and I still feel rectal pressure even when I’m not on my period. I feel like I’m sitting on something hard, like my butt is full like I have to have a bowel movement, and it hurts when I do. And when I’m on my period, it gets worse. But nooooo. According to my gyno, “this isn’t a gynecological issue.” Bull crap. The fact there has been even a little improvement would prove otherwise to any logical, thinking person.

I should mention when I was 16 or 17 (2004-2005), my first gyno discovered I have a retroverted uterus, or a tilted uterus. She found out through ultrasound. My mother was present at that time and can vouch that that was what that gyno said. It’s buried in my record somewhere. Yet, my current gynecologist says I don’t. He barely ever looks at me, and thinks that poking my breasts (literally, poking!) is proper breast cancer lump detection procedure.

Somehow, this fact popped into my head again after all these years. I started researching. Low and behold, sometimes this condition can cause a problem in some women later in life, with symptoms such as: rectal pain, lower back pain, painful period, and pain during sex. I have ALL of these symptoms. Especially the rectal pain. It’s because for women with this, the uterus is literally SITTING right on the rectum.

I called the gyno. I told the nurse I wanted to have an updated ultrasound to check for this. I told her I didn’t want to be on the pill because of the cancer risk, and I was tired of trying to cover up the pain with pills instead of getting to the root of the problem. She said, “I’m sorry, the doctor has decided that there is nothing else he can do for you, and wants to refer you to someone else.” I was taken aback. I demanded to know why, and she would give me no other reason than because he said so and his words are final. I told her my reasoning for wanting this test, and she said she’d talk to him and call me back.

She didn’t. Another nurse did, and I had the same discussion with her, being perfectly reasonable in just requesting this test for my own peace of mine, to once again confirm whether or not I have a tilted uterus. She told me no, the doctor wouldn’t see me. By this time, I was in tears. I really like this doctor. He’s very nice. I’m comfortable with him. Unlike any other doctor I’ve ever had. I didn’t want to YET AGAIN be tossed around like a hacky sack.

She had me talk to the manager. I repeated my story AGAIN. Manager lady told me the same thing. I said I JUST WANT THE TEST. She said “it’s up to the doctor,” as if I have absolutely no say in my own treatment. I don’t think I was being unreasonable. A crying mess, yes, but not unreasonable.

I told her I wanted to come in for my yearly checkup. She wouldn’t even concede to that. She said he didn’t want to see me at all unless I would try the pills, and even if that didn’t work he didn’t know what to do for me. I told you what, damn it. Give me the ultrasound! That’s what I want! She said she’d talk to him again and call

    • ANSWER:
I feel your pain, literally. My reg gyn refused to do another laparoscopy on me for my endo and said the only treatment he would offer is a round of Lupron shots, which I refused. I sought out another doctor and ended up having to leave the state and drive 3 hours to a reproductive specialist. I would suggest you do the same, if you have to make a long haul to see another doc, then do it. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of having to drive so far to receive treatment that I wanted but it paid off, I got the treament I WANTED and according to my new doc, I NEEDED. Also, I might point out that I loved my gyn, but the dummy refused to do my surgery that turned up 3 hernias that were missed via ultrasound, ct scan, and physical exam. Not every doc should be allowed to carry a license, nor should they turn you down for a treament you are paying for, if nothing else they should be welcoming your money in their pockets. Find another doc.

  2. QUESTION:
Large partially pedunculated fibroid leiomyoma 10.2 x 8.6 x 9.7 of the anterior uterus… HELP?
In a way I can tell I’m blessed why? In 2008 I used to blame myself and others who caused a car accident that I was in. I lost so much after that accident not being able to have the very good health and physic I used to have. From 162 no I weight 210. I went to so many doctors after my accident because my neck and back was really in pain. I finally found a doctor who did thank lord give me hope that everything could go back to normal. Until the other day my chiropractors to finish my treatment cause my insurance almost with no balance, he told me that he will MRI my back. When they did they found and confirmed that I had a herniated disc L5-S1 that this accident had make worst because a previous chiropractor told me I had a disc problem before 3 days before the accident etc… But that MRI for my back shows a growing mass inside my pelvic. They send me for a pelvic ultrasound. Also the days of the MRI my tummy to the right side move so much that was crazy and I was extremely dizzy. Result came like that:

    Age: 26
    Sex: Female

History: Pelvic pain with heavy menses.

Finding: utilizing a full urinary bladder as an acoustic window, the pelvis was evaluated and the uterus is in a normal anteverted/anteflexed orientation measuring 8.4 x 9.8 x 8.0 cm. The uterus contains a very large anterior complex leiomyoma, which measures 10.2 x 8.6 x 9.7 cm. The right and left adnexa are normal. There is no free fluid within the cul-de-sac.

Impression: There is a large soft tissue mass involving the anterior uterus almost certainly representing a large partially pedunculated leiomymoma, which measures 10.2 x 8.6x 9.7 cm. This is an otherwise normal study.

    • ANSWER:
Fibroids are clumps of uterine extra tissue overgrowths, some do not cause any discomfort and the ones that are larger and that will need to be surgically removed through an incision like a c-section to basically go into the uterus . If you are 26 years old, and want children, make sure that they leave your ovaries, tubes and uterus intact and NOT TO REMOVE THEM and only remove the fibroids. However, if your doctor suggests that something be removed so the fibroids don’t come back and start growing again? Ask him what your options are. Don’t be afraid to ask your doctor all the questions you have. Make a short list and take it with you to your appointment. Be ready with some questions.

You will be OK. Have faith, and speak to someone at Social Security and start some benefits, you need to speak to a counselor, a dietician, and you need alot of support, emotional and medically. And try to have someone with you all the time, because you shouldn’t be alone in this.

    • ANSWER:
Its a fibroid – not the type that leads to cancer – and some of the other abdominal symptoms you have are related to it.

Its not uncommon at all – and yours is not even all that large compared to some.

Sometimes they do laser surgury to remove them – but they are usually not considered serious at all. Sometimes birth control pills keep the symptoms under control. I’m guessing folks are going to suggest vitex and black cohosh – I would avoid those – you might make things worse.

      Inhale deeply – exhale fully.
The chances are very good you will be fine, and having children.

      Good Luck and Be Well

Metaphysical Cause Of Fibroids

The pains and agonies suffered by those who are childless as a result of infertility, fibroid, low sperm count, and so on is better imagined than described. In some homes today, the devil has deliberately planted childlessness in order to destabilize many families and cause divorce, frustration and unhappiness. In some cases, the devil has succeeded in using his manipulative power to instigate husband against wife, mother- in-law against daughter -in-law and family against family. 00004000 No wonder the Bible says, aThe devil came to steal, kill and to destroya (John 10:10). Whatever may be responsible for your childlessness, either known or unknown to medical expert, (or your doctor has just declared your case hopeless) you are going to testify before the Lord and His people!

The man in the Synagogue, Prophet T.B Joshua whom God is using mightily has declared 11TH DECEMBER, 2009 as a day God is going to remove all this stigma from the children of God. The prophet said that God wants to use him to usher people suffering from fibroid, low sperm count, infertility and so on into a new year of happy motherhood and happy fatherhood, for them to carry their own children instead of counting their past pains, agonies and condemnation.

This event will take place in the church auditorium and it will be televised to viewers around the world through Emmanuel T.V. However, please note that all children of God coming for this important gathering and wanting to partake in the blessing should come with certified medical reports. This is not for God! Medical report or not, God knows everybody and their problems. But the Bible says, alf they don’t see, they won’t believea. For this reason, it is important that everyone should come with his/her medical report for the viewers and on – lookers to believe that there is God in The Synagogue!

This Friday will therefore be a red letter day for the people looking unto God for the fruit of the womb, those with infertility, low sperm count, fibroid and all causes of childlessness and bareness as they are going to experience the handwork of God.

God is really speaking through the man of God, Prophet T.B Joshua and He will minister healing and solution to your problems. You can’t miss it because the last year event was a bomb of miracles and instant testimonies from all the people that partook in that service. Some even received their own healing at home through Emmanuel T.V. It was a day that will ever remain in the hearts of those who witnessed it – a day when their miracle was born!

Get ready, come and receive your own healing.

Sigmoid Colectomy

What Is Sigmoid-Colectomy Surgery?

Sigmoid-colectomy surgery involves removing the left side of the colon and reattaching the ends if at all possible. After administering general anesthesia, the surgeon makes an incision approximately fifteen inches long in the middle part of the lower abdomen in order to free the colon loop and the upper rectum from the patient’s stomach. Thereafter, the surgeon removes the diseased part of the colon and in most cases, the ends are rejoined. In cases where reattachment is impossible or unsafe, the waste is rechanneled through an opening in the abdomen called a colostomy, thus, requiring the patient to wear a bag to collect the waste material………

The operation

You will have a general anaesthetic, and will be asleep for the whole operation. A cut is made in the skin in the middle lower part of the abdomen about 40cm (15 inches) long. The left side of the colon loop and the upper rectum are freed from the inside of the tummy. The diseased part is cut out and usually the ends are joined together. Sometimes it is safer if the ends are not joined together. Then the bowel waste is channelled through the bowel which opens in the front of your tummy (a colostomy), and you need to wear a bag. This looks like a big nipple of pink bowel stuck to the tummy skin. Usually the ends are joined up at a later date……

Possible Complications

As with any operation under general anaesthetic, there is a very small risk of complications related to your heart and lungs. The tests that you will have before the operation will make sure that you can have the operation in the safest possible way and will bring the risk for such complications very close to zero………

Chemotherapy

After the surgeon removes the section of the colon, a pathologist evaluates the cancer under a microscope. If the pathologist sees evidence that cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, or if the cancer is a type that grows quickly, the oncologist will usually recommend further treatment with chemotherapy.

Follow-up Care

After a colectomy, bowel movements might be more frequent. Bowel movements usually become more normal after one year. Your doctor can recommend a bowel care plan to help normalize bowel movements. The most common time a cancer recurs is within the first two years following diagnosis and treatment. Follow-up care with the surgeon, gastroenterologist and oncologist is important. Periodic checkups may include a physical exam, blood tests, colonoscopy, CT scan or PET scan….

Managing Uterine Fibroid Pain

Menopause is not a disease or an illness. It is a transition between two phases of a woman’s life. Menopause occurs when a woman permanently stops menstruating (having periods). Many women experience a variety of symptoms as a result of the hormonal changes associated with the transition through menopause. Around the time of menopause, women often lose bone density and their cholesterol may worsen, increasing their risk of heart disease

Menopause is a natural process that occurs because of a decrease in the function of the ovaries, which also control estrogen production. In addition to a decrease in estrogen levels, menopause results in decreased progesterone levels, meaning that any eggs that are released are less likely to be fertilized.

Menopause management should encompass a holistic approach to include discussion on life-style and dietary factors, as well as specific menopause treatment options. For many women, hormone replacement therapies can provide very effective relief of distressing menopausal symptoms, significantly improving their quality of life, and can provide an important preventive role, reducing the risk of debilitating disease such as osteoporosis.

When does Menopause occur?
The occurrence of menopause is different for each woman. Menopause usually occurs between the ages of 40 and 55. The age of when menopause occurs is affected by several factors, including Nutrition. Malnourished women begin menopause about 4 years earlier than well-nourished women. Early onset of menstruation. Women who begin menstruation at an early age are more likely to begin menopause later

Menopause is a natural event that normally occurs between the ages of 45 and 55.Once menopause is complete (called postmenopause), you can no longer become pregnant. The symptoms of menopause are caused by changes in estrogen and progesterone levels. As the ovaries become less functional, they produce less of these hormones and the body responds accordingly. The specific symptoms you experience and how significant (mild, moderate, or severe) varies from woman to woman.

Symptoms

Symptoms of the menopause can include hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood swings, declining libido, osteoporosis, ageing skin, lack of energy, joint pains, weight gain, headaches and changes in hair quality. Interestingly, men also experience a lot of these symptoms, with irritability, a declining libido, changes in weight, ageing skin and hair, depression and anxiety.

Treatment

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) was the main treatment for menopause symptoms. Many physicians believed that HRT was not only good for reducing menopausal symptoms, but also reduced the risk of heart disease and bone fractures from osteoporosis. However, the results of a major study called the Women’s Health Initiative has led physicians to change their recommendations.

Menozac is a herbal menopause treatment that has been specially developed to ease the transition period of perimeopausal and menopausal women and to smooth and eliminate symptoms of menopause and early menopause almost immediately. It contains special herbs for menopause and other natural botanical extracts and additives. Among them are: Soy seed, Damiana leaf, Black Cohosh root, and Vitamin E.

Estrogen

Pros: Helps prevent vaginal tissue from thinning; also helps prevent bone loss; very effective against hot flashes

Cons: Increased risk of breast cancer if taken with a progestin; increased risk of uterine cancer if estrogen is taken without progesterone; increased risk of blood clots.

Short And Long Term Effects Of Alcohol Abuse

Are you an alcoholic? When do you know you have become addicted?

Drinking alcohol excessively for a long period of time has a lot of risks to your health. The amount of alcohol you drink at a sitting and the extent of overall times you do this will determine the amount of damage done to your body.

If you are not a heavy drinker and only drink 1-2 drinks a sitting a couple of times a week, you would not be considered an alcoholic If your drinking becomes more and more each time and more often, and you continue this habit over a long period of time, you will eventually become addicted to alcohol. You increase your body tolerance each time you have a drink.

1. Your family life begins to crumble.
2. You become depressed.
3. Your anxiety will increasingly become worse.
4. You will be unable to sleep as well as you did before.
5. You start to lose your self esteem.
6. Your friends avoid you.
7. You have problems at work.

That’s just the beginning. You start to shut out the family and your friends. You shut out everything except the alcohol. The long term effects of alcohol become more serious as time goes by. Short And Long Term Effects Of Alcohol Abuse

You could lose your job. You could lose your family. You have already lost your self respect and your self esteem.

More serious than anything else though, is your health status. Alcohol addiction causes many health problems. The most extreme and most serious problem is Cirrhosis of the liver. When this problem occurs, it is incurable.

Other organs affected include the pancreas, stomach, throat, esophagus, and the brain. Excessive alcohol intake has been linked to cancers of these organs. Women who consume alcohol excessively are at a higher risk of breast cancer. If these are not enough reasons for anyone to think twice about continuing to drink excessively, then you are probably too far gone. You should immediately contact a health official and get into a program as quickly as you can. At this point, you cannot do it on your own. Short And Long Term Effects Of Alcohol Abuse

India is the preferred destination for the Cost effective treatment of Malignant mesothelioma of pleura. An integrated world-class healthcare system, leveraging best medical practices backed by cutting-edge technology, specialized clinics, comprehensive services, internationally renowned private hospitals offering utmost level of integrated healthcare to international patients. The medical tourism industry in India is growing at double-digit growth rate, outstripping the 4% to 6% growth in general travel bookings. For many medical tourists, though, the real attraction is price. The cost of treatment of Malignant mesothelioma of pleura in India, is not only affordable but the quality of the treatment is also at par.

What is
Malignant mesothelioma of Pleura?

Malignant mesothelioma of the pleura is acancerwhich arises from the mesothelial cells found within thepleural membranesthat cover thelungs. There are two pleurae:the visceral pleura, which cover the actual lung itself; and the parietal pleura, which cover the inside of the chest wall. The purpose of the pleura is to provide a smooth surface so that, as the chest expands, the lungs expand smoothly within the chest cavity. The pleural membranes normally secrete a small amount of fluid for lubrication. This allows the visceral pleura (lining the lungs) to glide over the parietal pleura (lining the inside of the chest cavity). Malignant mesothelioma develops from the mesothelial cells of the pleura.

Who gets Malignant Mesothelioma of the Pleura?

Malignant mesothelioma is relatively uncommon compared to other tumours. Australia has the highest incidence of mesothelioma in the world, at 40 cases per million people. Other industrialised countries, which have mined and used asbestos, such as the United States, England, Canada and South Africa, have similar but slightly lower rates of disease. The incidence of Malignant mesothelioma increases with age, with most patients presenting between 50 and 80 years of age. This is because there is a latency period of as long as 50 yearsbetweenexposure to asbestosand development of Malignant mesothelioma. Malignant mesothelioma is far more common in men than in women, at a ratio of 4:1.

Symptoms of Malignant Mesothelioma:

In severe cases, the person may have manytumormasses. The individual may develop apneumothorax, or collapse of thelung. The disease maymetastasize, or spread, to other parts of the body.

Tumors that affect the abdominal cavity often do not cause symptoms until they are at a late stage. Symptoms include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Ascites, or an abnormal buildup of fluid in the abdomen
  • A mass in the abdomen
  • Problems with bowel function
  • Weight loss

In severe cases of the disease, the following signs and symptoms may be present:

  • Blood clots in the veins, which may causethrombophlebitis
  • Disseminated intravascular coagulation, a disorder causing severe bleeding in many body organs
  • Jaundice, or yellowing of the eyes and skin
  • Low blood sugar level
  • Pleural effusion
  • Pulmonary emboli, or blood clots in the arteries of the lungs
  • Severe ascites

Risk factors:

Working withasbestosis the major risk factor for Malignant mesothelioma. In the United States, asbestos is the major cause of Malignant mesothelioma. Indeed, the relationship between asbestos and mesothelioma is so strong that many consider mesothelioma a “signal” or “sentinel” tumor. A history of asbestos exposure exists in most cases. However, Malignant mesothelioma has been reported in some individuals without any known exposure to asbestos. In rare cases, Malignant mesothelioma has also been associated with irradiation, intrapleural thorium dioxide, and inhalation of other fibrous silicates, such aserionite. Some studies suggest that simianvirus40 (SV40) may act as acofactorin the development of Malignant mesothelioma.

Treatment of Malignant Mesothelioma:

Malignant mesothelioma is usually incurable at presentation. Treatment is therefore aimed at controlling symptoms and prolonging survival, rather than trying to remove the tumor.

Surgery:

It is very rarely possible to surgically remove a Malignant mesothelioma, because the tumor spreads widely throughout the pleura and invades nearby organs. Instead, palliative surgerymay occasionally be used to try to control symptoms, particularly pleural effusion.

Radiotherapy:

It is difficult to treat Malignant mesothelioma with radiotherapy because the tumor involves such a large area of the chest wall. However, there are two situations in which radiotherapy may be used.

Radiotherapy may be used to treat sites where biopsies have been taken or chest drains inserted. These areas, where a tube has been passed through the chest wall into the pleural space, often become ‘seeded’ with the mesothelioma tumor. This then presents as a growing lump a number of months later. If radiotherapy to the area is given soon after diagnosis, any tumor cells which have ‘seeded’ the area can be destroyed.

Radiotherapy may also be used to treat pain in the chest wall due to spread of the tumor.

Chemotherapy:

Until recently, chemotherapy was not thought to be useful in treating malignant mesothelioma. However, recent studies have shown that treatment with the drugscisplatinand pemetrexed (Alimta) may reduce tumour size, increase patient survival by several months, and improve quality of life.

Recovery after Treatment of Malignant Mesothelioma:

Recovery will begin after the very first procedure but may be staggered over several cycles since multimodality treatment for mesotheliomais now becoming the standard.

Since diagnostic procedures for Malignant mesothelioma tend to be highly invasive, it may also be necessary to undergo a period of recovery from operations like athoracoscopyorlaparoscopy. These procedures involve substantial surgery and a thoracoscopy may also involvepalliativeinterventions likepleurodesisto reduce fluid production in the chest, some protocols involve the administration of chemotherapy before surgery and some after. Chemotherapy is usually debilitating to some degree and may include a number of serious side-effects that could require the patient to rest and recover before further treatments for Malignant mesothelioma are resumed.

Why India?

Malignant mesothelioma of pleura treatment is done at a cost which is much lower than they charge in U.S or U.K. Research foresees India to emerge as one of the fastest growing medical tourism industry, accounting for around 25% of the region’s industry by 2012. The medical tourism industry has emerged as the fastest growing segment of the Asian tourism industry despite the global economic downturn. High cost of treatments in developed countries, particularly in the USA and the UK, have been continually attracting patients from such regions towards alternative cost-effective destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
My step daugher has uterine cancer, a malignant germ tumor. Any survivors with info on treatments following su?
We are still in shock as she lost her twins one week before her due date due to an accident a few months back. Everyone in the family is looking up info. I thought I would reach out to the Yahoo Answers community to see if anyone is familiar with this cancer and its treatments – before or after the total hysterectomy. Thanks for sharing.

    • ANSWER:
Less than 5% of uterine cancers occur in women under 40 and it is very unlikely to be a germ cell tumor. Are you sure she has uterine cancer? Could it be a sarcoma?

  2. QUESTION:
Spaying/Neutering, do the benefits always outweigh the risks? (Not about pet overpopulation but for the dog)?
This is not a controlling pet overpopulation but about the individual dog. So forget for a moment that pet overpopulation is an issue.

    I was reading this:

    http://www.naiaonline.org/pdfs/LongTermHealthEffectsOfSpayNeuterInDogs.pdf

And it got me wondering if the benefits of spaying/neutering really do outweigh the risks.

This right here is enough to make me want to do more research or atleast hold out on spaying/neutering until my dog is older:

” The evidence shows that spay/neuter correlates with both positive AND adverse health effects in dogs. It also suggests how much we really do
not yet understand about this subject.
On balance, it appears that no compelling case can be made for neutering most male dogs, especially immature male dogs, in order to prevent future health problems. The number of health problems associated with neutering may exceed the associated health benefits in most cases.

On the positive side, neutering male dogs
    • eliminates the small risk (probably <1%) of dying from testicular cancer • reduces the risk of non-cancerous prostate disorders • reduces the risk of perianal fistulas • may possibly reduce the risk of diabetes (data inconclusive) On the negative side, neutering male dogs • if done before 1 year of age, significantly increases the risk of osteosarcoma (bone cancer); this is a common cancer in medium/large and larger breeds with a poor prognosis. • increases the risk of cardiac hemangiosarcoma by a factor of 1.6 • triples the risk of hypothyroidism • increases the risk of progressive geriatric cognitive impairment • triples the risk of obesity, a common health problem in dogs with many associated health problems • quadruples the small risk (<0.6%) of prostate cancer • doubles the small risk (<1%) of urinary tract cancers • increases the risk of orthopedic disorders • increases the risk of adverse reactions to vaccinations For female dogs, the situation is more complex. The number of health benefits associated with spaying may exceed the associated health problems in some (not all) cases. On balance, whether spaying improves the odds of overall good health or degrades them probably depends on the age of the female dog and the relative risk of various diseases in the different breeds. On the positive side, spaying female dogs • if done before 2.5 years of age, greatly reduces the risk of mammary tumors, the most common malignant tumors in female dogs • nearly eliminates the risk of pyometra, which otherwise would affect about 23% of intact female dogs; pyometra kills about 1% of intact female dogs • reduces the risk of perianal fistulas • removes the very small risk (0.5%) from uterine, cervical, and ovarian tumors On the negative side, spaying female dogs • if done before 1 year of age, significantly increases the risk of osteosarcoma (bone cancer); this is a common cancer in larger breeds with a poor prognosis • increases the risk of splenic hemangiosarcoma by a factor of 2.2 and cardiac hemangiosarcoma by a factor of >5; this is a common cancer and major cause of death in some breeds
    • triples the risk of hypothyroidism
    • increases the risk of obesity by a factor of 1.6-2, a common health problem in dogs with many
    associated health problems
    • causes urinary “spay incontinence” in 4-20% of female dogs
    • increases the risk of persistent or recurring urinary tract infections by a factor of 3-4
    • increases the risk of recessed vulva, vaginal dermatitis, and vaginitis, especially for female dogs
    spayed before puberty
    • doubles the small risk (<1%) of urinary tract tumors • increases the risk of orthopedic disorders • increases the risk of adverse reactions to vaccinations." So when do the benefits outweigh the risks and when do the risks outweigh the benefits? How to know what the best decision for your individual dog is? ADD: I've always had my dogs spayed/neutered by 6 months of age so this is an eye opening question for me What is better for my dogs health is a bigger concern to me then pet overpopulation at the moment? (A responsible pet owner can keep an intact dog and not have any accidental litters) All my dogs come from shelters so chances are I won't face this because they usually come to me spayed/neutered

    • ANSWER:
Good question. The truth is that spaying/neutering isn’t the healthiest thing for dogs. But the truth that tops that one is that about 98% of the population isn’t nearly responsible enough to prevent their intact dogs from breeding. That’s why people on here preach spaying and neutering. Hang out here for a while and read the dozens of questions daily by backyard breeders who haven’t a clue how to do anything breeding related, yet they blithely put their b1tch’s life at risk.

For a responsible dog owner, there’s no reason to spay/neuter. The only dogs I’ve ever owned who’ve been spayed/neutered have been rescues who came that way. I’ve also spayed older b1tches because it does cut down on the chances of cancer and pyometra.

I’ve never neutered any of my males and have also never had an accidental litter.

  3. QUESTION:
what does it mean if its contraindicated for something?
    what does this mean:
    4 CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of Mirena is contraindicated when one or more of the following conditions exist:
    • Pregnancy or suspicion of pregnancy
    • Congenital or acquired uterine anomaly including fibroids if they distort the uterine cavity
    • Acute pelvic inflammatory disease or a history of pelvic inflammatory disease unless there has been a subsequent intrauterine
    pregnancy
    • Postpartum endometritis or infected abortion in the past 3 months
    11
    • Known or suspected uterine or cervical neoplasia or unresolved, abnormal Pap smear
    • Genital bleeding of unknown etiology
    • Untreated acute cervicitis or vaginitis, including bacterial vaginosis or other lower genital tract infections until infection is
    controlled
    • Acute liver disease or liver tumor (benign or malignant)
    • Conditions associated with increased susceptibility to pelvic infections
    • A previously inserted IUD that has not been removed
    • Hypersensitivity to any component of this product

    • ANSWER:
Contra- means opposite to or against. Contraindicated means against indications. When a drug is contraindicated in a condition, such as pregnancy, it means the drug should not be used if the condition is present. This is often a safety issue, meaning that safety of the drug in the presence of that condition has not been established.

  2. QUESTION:
    Uterian fibroid and pregnancy?
I just found out that I am about 5 weeks pregnant. I was told that I have a fibroid on my uterous that is over 10cm big and growing. I also have ovarian cysts and a misshapen uterous. I am in so much pain. I’m terrified that I’m going to lose that baby, this may be my husband and my only chance at having a child.

yes, the pain killers are perscribed by the specialist I saw.

    • ANSWER:
i know a friend who have a fibrios, and she had two children, and she removed it after hacing 2 children. dnn’t fear of miscarriage. most people won’t miscarry. i don’t know about the pain, talk with the doctor and make sure that the medicine does not harm the baby

  3. QUESTION:
Any after effects after Fibroid removal? ?
I was diagnosed to have a 9cm fibroid in my uterus abt 3 mths ago. As it was causing me severe pain during my period and even after my period had ended, therefore my doctor arranged for me to have it removed.

During my operation, the doctor only managed to remove 75% of the fibroid as it was latched onto my uterus. According to him, if i wish to have it removed fully, then he will have to remove my uterus. But as i am only 30yrs old, he did not wish for me to do so. During my last review with him, he mentioned that my uterus and my fallopian tube is already deformed due to the fibroid. So the chances of me getting pregnant is very low. I wasn’t exactly upset becos i nvr had any intention to get pregnant.

The problem is, after the op till now, i am still experiencing bad cramps during and after my period. Not only that it has caused me to have severe back aches and gastric problems even after my period ends.

So my questions are, if i opt to remove my uterus but not my ovaries, will i get menopause immeditately? Do i require to take hormone pills? Has anyone experienced pain even after the fibroid removal?

Hope am able to get some answers soon as the pain is creating alot of problems for me. Thanks.

    • ANSWER:
First, are you in a position to get a 2nd opinion? I had a 6 cm fibroid removed 4 months ago, also attached to the uterus by a “stem”. My GYN was able to remove all of it vaginally (it was attached inside the uterus, not on the abdominal(exterior) side). She did a complete D&C, removed all the uterine lining as well as the fibroid; I am doing GREAT!. No pain, no heavy periods, etc. I will have an ultrasound in a couple of months to make sure she got it all. She said if she left even a tiny part of the fibroid, it would grow again. Even at my age (48), she did not want to remove the uterus. She did tell me if the uterus was removed & the ovaries remained intact, it would not create menopause. The hormone levels are controlled by the ovaries. However, removal of the uterus would be “major surgery” rather than “outpatient surgery”, and she didn’t feel it necessary. She is a very proactive doctor who always puts her patients first. As long as the fibroid was removed I would be healthy, which I am. Good luck to you, try to get a 2nd opinion if you can. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions about my experience. Hope this helps!!
